SEAToday.com, Gaza - A teenager named Hussam Al-Attar created a source of electricity to light up the tent where he lives with his family.

The 15-year-old used two fans he picked from a scrap market and rigged to some wires. The fans function as tiny wind turbines capable of charging batteries. He said that his first two attempts failed, until he got it to work on the third attempt.

In recognition of his ingenuity, people around the surrounding tent camp called him 'Newton of Gaza'.

Previously, Israel attacked northern Gaza, which affected Al-Attar's family, causing them to lose their home and flee to Rafah near the Egyptian border.
