Saudi Arabia: No Ties with Israel Without Recognition of Palestinian State
SEAToday.com, Gaza - Saudi Arabia emphasizes that without an end to the genocide in Gaza and recognition of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, it will not normalize diplomatic relations with Israel. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday (2/7).
Saudi Arabia also demanded an end to the Israeli aggression in Gaza and the withdrawal of all Israeli forces from the besieged territory. The statement came after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to several Middle Eastern countries to discuss the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
The statement also contradicted an earlier statement by White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, who said that Saudi-Israeli normalization was "underway."
