Indonesian Red Cross Sends Humanitarian Aid to Palestinian Refugees

SEAToday.com, Gaza - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) is preparing to distribute and send humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees in Gaza and El Arish border area, Egypt.

PMI Secretary General Abdurrahman Mohammad Fachir said on Thursday (2/8) that the 32.5 tons of aid includes blankets, rice, wheat, sugar, salt, and cooking oil. In addition, there are also baby and children's clothes and medicines.

Abdurrahman mentioned that PMI is working with the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Indonesian Embassy in Egypt to manage this aid. This aid will be sent using two trucks in a five-hour trip from Cairo to El Arish. El Arish is currently the center of the Egyptian Red Crescent's public kitchen. The processed food will later be distributed to the Gaza region.
