One Killed, 2 Arrested in Burning of Health Center by Terrorist Group in Central Papua
SEAToday.com, Central Papua - One perpetrator was killed and two others arrested as a result of security disturbances involving gunfire in Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province. The gunfire was conducted by the terrorist group from the Kepala Air area, which is led by Jacky Murib. This action occurred when TNI-Polri personnel were conducting joint patrols on Saturday (2/3) afternoon.
Warinus Murib was killed in the incident. Meanwhile, two other people, AM and DK, were arrested for allegedly being members of the Numbuk Telenggen terrorist group. The authorities also managed to arrest a terrorist member who is wanted by the Ilaga police.
A few hours after the incident, at exactly 8.15 p.m. local time, the terrorist reportedly burned down the health center building in Erobaga. The head of Operation Peace Cartenz , Police Grand Commissioner Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized the commitment to continue to pursue terrorist groups who committed security and public order disturbances, including the burning of health centers.
