SEAToday.com, Gaza - A group of 47 lawyers from South Africa is preparing a lawsuit against the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) governments on the grounds that they are complicit in Israel’s war crimes committed in Gaza.

Following the alleged genocide case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) filed by South Africa against Israel, this team of lawyers are preparing a separate lawsuit against the US and UK, aiming to prosecute those who are complicit in the crime. The team leader, Wikus Van Rensburg, said that they are collaborating with lawyers in both the US and UK.

"The United States must now be held accountable for the crimes it committed," said Rensburg in an interview.

Rensburg said the ICJ’s genocide case will serve as a guide for their case against the US and UK. They will begin the process based on the outcome of the case and the steps to be taken by the United Nations.
