SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Israeli footballer who plays for Antalyaspor, Sagiv Jehezkel, left Türkiye on Monday (1/15) after being arrested by the Turkish police for one day.

The 28-year-old made a controversial goal celebration against Trabzonspor on Sunday (1/14). Jehezkel showed the words "100 days, 07.10" written on his bandaged left wrist. The message is assumed to be linked to the 100 days of Israel's attack on Palestine since October 7, 2023.

The Antalyaspor club said it had fired Jehezkel, saying the right-winger was against Turkish values.

Meanwhile, Antalya prosecutors launched an investigation into Jehezkel for allegedly provoking hatred with the celebration.
