Government Liquidates 7 State-Owned Enterprises

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) has officially liquidated 7 state-owned enterprises (SOEs). This was announced in a press conference at Menara Danareksa in Jakarta on Friday (12/29). The seven SOEs are PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero), PT Kertas Leces (Persero), PT Istaka Karya (Persero), PT Industri Sandang Nusantara (Persero) ("ISN"), PT Kertas Kraft Aceh (Persero) ("KKA"), PT Industri Gelas (Persero) ("IGLAS"), and PT Pengembangan Armada Niaga Nasional (Persero) ("PANN").
State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Deputy Minister Kartika Wirjoatmodjo (Tiko) said that the dissolution of the seven SOEs is part of the comprehensive transformation undertaken by the SOE Ministry over the past four years to create an inclusive and sustainable business ecosystem. This is a crucial step taken because these companies have not been able to fulfill their role in contributing to the national economy.
