SEAToday.com, Gaza - Israel will stop automatic visas for United Nations (UN) workers as it suspects some of them to be “complicit partners” with Hamas, Monday (12/25).
Israel has stated to not renew the visa of UN staff members in the country and will also stop giving the green light to all UN workers The decision came after the various UN agencies and officials have repeatedly criticised Israel attacks which have targeted residential areas, schools, and hospitals.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that visa requests by UN employees will no longer be granted automatically, and will instead be considered on a case-by-case basis,” said Israel’s Spokesperson Eylon Levy.
Meanwhile UN special rapporteur on Palestine Francesca Albanese had slammed the decision, calling it “baseless attacks against the UN only proves moral cowardice” in her X post.
