SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) reported that the Whoosh high-speed train served 1,028,216 passengers during the two months of commercial operation from October 17 to December 25. The highest daily passenger count reached 21,500, including the year-end holiday period.

Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi stated that the high level of public interest indicates that fast trains have become a necessity for the community. This achievement reflects the strong public interest in modern and reliable public transportation in Indonesia, offering efficient travel time and comfort.

In line with this, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir mentioned on Thursday (28/12) that the government's policy in developing fast transport infrastructure is correct and has gained public trust. Minister Erick assessed that Whoosh has not only proven to be one of the solutions to Jakarta-Bandung traffic congestion but also can stimulate a new economy, especially at Tegalluar and Padalarang stations.
