Jakarta's Fixed Rusunawa Rental Rate Implemantation Postponed until June 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government and Commission D of the Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD DKI Jakarta) agreed to postpone the implementation of rental rates for residents of the low-cost apartments (rusunawa) in the period from January to June 2024.
This policy was implemented due to the unstable economic conditions of the Rusunawa residents after the COVID-19 pandemic.
DPRD DKI Jakarta Chairman Ida Mahmudah said the balance of residents who were automatically attracted to the December payment will be switched to payment in July 2024.
"The result of the decision is that for rusunawa residents throughout DKI Jakarta who have not been debited for now do not need to be paid, while those who have been debited (automatically deducted from the account) will be included as July payments," said Ida.
Later, the Jakarta Provincial Government and DPRD DKI Jakarta will make basic rules related to the postponement of the rusunawa rental rate application in Jakarta.
