KPK Allows 24 Prisioners to Celebrate Christmas in Detention Center

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has allowed 24 detainees to celebrate Christmas with their families at the KPK State Detention Center. The news was conveyed by KPK News Division Head Ali Fikri on Sunday (12/24).

"Currently, there are 24 detainees who will celebrate Christmas. The Christmas service will be held centrally at the KPK's Red and White Building Detention Center and separately at Puspomal Detention Center," said Ali.

Ali said the Christmas worship schedule will start on Monday (12/25) at 1.30 pm until 3 p.m. In addition, the KPK also opens food reception facilities from 7.30 a.m. until 9.30 a.m. and visit services from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

In the visit service, there are procedures that must be followed, including only the detainee's immediate family and a maximum of three people who can visit and have received permission from the investigator, prosecutor, and panel of judges. They are also not allowed to bring food, drinks, or communication devices to electronic devices that can disturb or endanger security and order.
