KPU to Provide Podium for First Vice Presidential Debate

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU), Hasyim Asy'ari, said that his party would provide a podium in the implementation of the first vice presidential candidate debate scheduled at the Jakarta Convention Center, next Friday (12/22).

The decision to use the podium was agreed upon in a coordination meeting on debate preparation with the three representatives of the candidate pairs and TV organizers at the KPU Office, on Monday (12/18). Based on evaluations and proposals from representatives of the three candidate pairs, the use of this podium will continue to be prepared until the fifth debate.

Hasyim said that the technicality of the second debate is no different from the first debate, the duration of the debate will last for 120 minutes, divided into six segments, with a team quota of 75 people from each candidate pair.

The debate on December 22 will be attended by the vice presidential candidates, number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar, number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and number 3 Mahfud MD.
