SEAToday.com, North Maluku - The Indonesian government is preparing Tidore Islands to be one of the National Tourism Strategic areas in Eastern Indonesia.

This was announced by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, during the peak of Hari Nusantara (Harnus) 2023 on Wednesday (13/12). As part of government support, the event was held at Tugulufa Beach, Tidore Islands City, North Maluku.

Themed “Knitting the Archipelago Connectivity and Maritime Economy from the Point Zero of the Spice Route,” Minister Budi believes that Harnus 2023 can be a momentum for the people of Indonesia to commemorate the diversity and richness of the nation's culture. He also hopes that Harnus can increase the enthusiasm of the people of eastern Indonesia to move forward, in line with President Joko Widodo's development priorities to build Indonesia from the outermost regions to increase the role and competitiveness of the region.
