SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Directorate General of Taxes of the Finance Ministry has postponed the implementation date of the Customs ID Number as the Tax ID Number to July 1, 2024.

Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations, Dwi Astuti, said on Tuesday (12/12) that the postponement was made due to the adjustment of the implementation time of the Core Tax Administration System (CTAS) in mid-2024 and after assessing the readiness of all affected stakeholders, such as government agencies, institutions, associations, and taxpayers.

"This opportunity is given to all stakeholders to prepare the affected application system, as well as test efforts and habituation of the new system for taxpayers," Dwi said.

The enactment of the regulation means that the 15-digit Tax ID Number format can still be used until June 30.
