KPU Canceled 'Nobar' of First Presidential Debate

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The General Elections Commission (KPU) canceled the ‘nobar’ (watch together) presidential first debate scheduled in several places.

The information was conveyed by KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari on Monday (12/11) at the KPU Office. The cancellation was made because almost all national television stations broadcast the debate live. In addition, the debate will also be broadcast online through radio platforms and live streaming so that public access can be fulfilled.

The first debate will be held at the KPU RI Office on Tuesday (12/12) at 7 p.m. with designated topics about governance, law, human rights, eradicating corruption, strengthening democracy, improving public services, and community harmony.
