SEAToday.com, Aceh - The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD, is looking for a new place for Rohingya refugees because the current shelter is no longer suitable.
He has also instructed the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, to coordinate with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Aceh, North Sumatra, and Riau Provinces regarding the relocation plan.
Mahfud ensured that the Rohingya refugees would get a new location in the near future to avoid the accumulation of residents and emphasized that the effort was made on the basis of humanity.
Previously, on Monday (12/4) President Joko Widodo appointed Mahfud MD to resolve the issue of Rohingya refugees entering Indonesia.
