SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Indonesian Ministry of Health has urged the public to wear masks in public spaces following the discovery of pneumonia cases in Jakarta.

The DKI Jakarta Health Office is currently verifying reports from health facilities regarding the discovery of pneumonia cases in Jakarta.

Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, asked the public not to worry because Mycoplasma is not a new bacteria, so it is already known how to detect and counteract it.

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that mycoplasma pneumonia cases in China have continued to increase since May 2023.
