dr. Ben Mboi Hospital Inaugurated as Largest Hospital in Eastern Indonesia
SEAToday.com, East Nusa Tenggara - Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated the dr. Ben Mboi Central General Hospital (RSUP) in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday (12/6). Also present with the President were Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, and Acting Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Ayodhia Kalake.
The construction of the hospital cost 420 billion rupiah and was cited by President Jokowi as the largest hospital in eastern Indonesia.
"This is the largest hospital in eastern Indonesia, especially in NTT, occupying an area of approximately 14 hectares, and the building itself is 35 thousand square meters. This is a very large hospital," President Jokowi said.
The President encouraged the fulfillment of the hospital's workforce with specialists and subspecialists in the hope of improving public health services in eastern Indonesia.
