Former BNPB Head Doni Monardo Passes Away.

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Former Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in the 2019-2021 period, Lieutenant General Indonesian National Armed Forces (Ret.) Doni Monardo, passed away on Sunday (12/3), at 5:35 p.m.

Previously, he received intensive care at Siloam Semanggi Hospital, Jakarta. A number of officials had visited Doni at the hospital, including President Joko Widodo.

While working as Head of BNPB, he initiated the establishment of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, which later became the COVID-19 Handling Task Force in March 2020. He also received an award from President Jokowi in March 2023.
