Donald Trump Survives Another Assassination Attempt in Florida
SEAToday.com, Florida - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was safe after what the FBI described “appears to be an attempted assassination” at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday (9/15). A man had been apprehended and held in custody.
Secret Service agents stationed near Trump noticed the muzzle of an AK-style rifle sticking through the shrubbery that lines the course, roughly 400 yards away. An agent fired, and the gunman dropped the gun and fled in an SUV.
Officials found the AK-47-style assault rifle, two backpacks, a scope used for aiming, and a GoPro camera on the spot left by the gunman. The man was later stopped by law enforcement in a neighboring county.
The incident came only two months after Trump survived another attempt on his life during his rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. It also takes over seven weeks before the upcoming November 5 election.
