SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has installed 1,390 CCTV cameras across all station areas, trains, and operational routes to enhance passenger safety and comfort.
The decision comes after a series of incidents involving the theft of headrest pillows from the high-speed Whoosh train. Since the start of the year until July 2024, there have been six reported cases of pillow theft.
"KCIC urges all passengers to follow the rules and avoid damaging public facilities, such as removing headrest pillows from train seats.Any act of vandalism on the Whoosh train will be captured by our CCTV," stated KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa on Saturday (7/27).
KCIC is resolute in its commitment to taking strict action against individuals found guilty of damaging Whoosh facilities. This step is aimed at deterring future incidents and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the Whoosh train.
