Coding dan AI Akan Jadi Mata Pelajaran Pilihan Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Coding dan Artificial Intelligence (AI) akan menjadi mata pelajaran pilihan di sekolah pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Hal tersebut disampaikan Menteri Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti dalam konferensi pers, Minggu (2/2).
Lebih lanjut, Menteri Abdul Mu’ti mengatakan, kebijakan tersebut bertujuan membangun generasi unggul yang menguasai teknologi serta menggunakannya untuk hal-hal positif. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan visi Indonesia Emas.
Coding dan AI akan diajarkan di Sekolah Dasar tingkat atas dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), tetapi sementara hanya di sekolah yang siap dengan infrastruktur memadai.
Nantinya, Kemendikdasmen akan bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Kemkomdigi) dalam merancang kurikulum yang aplikatif dan mudah dipahami. Untuk mendukung langkah tersebut, Kemendikdasmen juga akan melakukan sosialisasi secara menyeluruh dan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru.
