Dewan Masjid Indonesia Siap Bangun 10 Masjid di Gaza Pasca-Gencatan Senjata

SEAToday.com, Jakarta – Dewan Masjid Indonesia (DMI) berkomitmen membangun 10 masjid semi permanen di Gaza sebagai bentuk solidaritas terhadap masyarakat Palestina yang terdampak konflik berkepanjangan.

Ketua Umum DMI Jusuf Kalla (JK) dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Sabtu, menyatakan bahwa langkah ini bertujuan untuk memulihkan kehidupan spiritual di tengah kondisi sulit yang dihadapi warga Gaza.

“Kehidupan spiritual harus segera dipulihkan, terutama di saat masyarakat menghadapi masa sulit seperti ini,” ujar JK dalam rapat terbatas bersama jajaran pengurus DMI di kediamannya di Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan.

DMI menargetkan beberapa masjid dapat mulai digunakan pada bulan Ramadan 1446 Hijriah. Untuk memperlancar realisasi program, JK telah berkoordinasi dengan perwakilan Hamas di Gaza guna menentukan lokasi pembangunan masjid tersebut.

Gencatan senjata yang baru-baru ini tercapai dinilai sebagai momentum penting menuju perdamaian yang lebih permanen, meskipun infrastruktur vital di Gaza—termasuk rumah, sekolah, rumah sakit, serta tempat ibadah—telah mengalami kerusakan parah akibat konflik selama 15 bulan terakhir.

Sebagai langkah awal, DMI akan menggalang dana untuk pembangunan 10 masjid semi permanen mulai Senin (27/1), bertepatan dengan peringatan Isra Mikraj Nabi Muhammad SAW.

Rapat terbatas tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Wakil Ketua Umum DMI Rudiantara, Sekjen DMI Rahmat Hidayat, serta Direktur Program DMI Wijayanto.
