Raffi Ahmad, Gus Miftah Appointed as Special Presidential Envoys

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated seven figures as Special Presidential Envoys at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/22), including Raffi Ahmad and Gus Miftah.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 76/M of 2024 concerning the Appointment of Special Presidential Envoys for the 2024-2029 period, issued in Jakarta on October 21, 2024, by President Prabowo Subianto.

Here are the seven Special Envoys of the President inaugurated by Prabowo:

  1. Muhamad Mardiono as Special Envoy for Food Security.
  2. Setiawan Ichlas as Special Envoy for Economics and Banking.
  3. Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman (Gus Miftah) as Special Envoy for Religious Harmony and Religious Facility Development.
  4. Raffi Farid Ahmad as Special Envoy for Youth Development and Artists.
  5. Ahmad Ridha Sabana as Special Envoy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Creative Economy, and Digital Economy.
  6. Mari Elka Pangestu as Special Envoy for International Trade and Multilateral Cooperation.
  7. Zita Anjani as Special Envoy for Tourism.

According to ANTARA, former President Joko Widodo issued Presidential Regulation Number 137 of 2024 regarding Special Advisers, Special Envoys, and Special Staff of the President and Vice President.

This regulation was signed by Jokowi on October 18, 2024, during his tenure as President.

As outlined in the regulation, available on jdih.setneg.go.id, the presidential regulation governs the roles of Special Advisers, Special Envoys, and Special Staff for both the President and Vice President.

Special Advisers and Special Envoys are established to assist the President in tasks beyond those covered by ministries and other government agencies.
