SEAToday.com, Medan - The Ministry of Environment and Forestry has stepped in to help improve animal management at Medan Zoo in Medan, North Sumatra.

"The ministry together with the Association of Indonesian Zoos are providing assistance, in the context of guidance, and efforts to improve animal management at Medan Zoo," said Environment and Forestry Ministry’s Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation Director General Satyawan Pudyatmoko on Wednesday (1/17).

Satyawan said that one of the problems Medan Zoo often faces is financial, which has an impact on animal management that has not met the standards. The assistance that will be provided by KLHK and PKBSI includes the provision of food, medical personnel, and facilities.
