Inovasi Pertamina Hulu Rokan di COP28: Lahan Basah Buatan untuk Mengelola Limbah Air Terproduksi
SEAToday.com, Dubai - Inovasi Pertamina Hulu Rokan di COP28: Lahan Basah Buatan untuk Kelola Limbah Air Terproduksi
PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) memaparkan inovasinya dalam pembuatan lahan basah untuk mengelola limbah air terproduksi dalam gelaran Konferensi ke-28 Perubahan Iklim PBB (COP28) di Dubai. Inovasi berbasis alam atau Nature-Based Solution (NBS) ini dilakukan untuk mendukung capaian Net Zero Emission (NZE) 2060.
PHR telah membangun lahan basah buatan seluas 5.000 m2 di wilayah kerja Blok Rokan dan sedang mengembangkan 14 konstruksi lahan basah di wilayah kerjanya. Inovasi ini berhasil mengurangi emisi sebesar 1.341 tCO2eq dan berkurangnya pembuangan limbah air.
PHR juga berkolaborasi dengan masyarakat setempat untuk mengelola lahan basah tersebut. Selain sebagai aktivitas pengelolaan limbah, lahan basah buatan ini juga memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat, seperti menjadi wilayah serapan air yang dapat mengurangi risiko terjadinya banjir.
