Kereta Otonom (ART) Akan Uji Coba di IKN pada 5 Agustus
SEAToday.com, Balikpapan - Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi memastikan uji coba kereta otonom (Autonomous Rail Transit/ART) di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), dapat dilakukan pada Senin (5/8).
Ia menjelaskan bahwa mekanisme operasional pada ART masa uji coba ini akan menerapkan sistem tiket gratis kepada pada penumpang selama periode Agustus sampai Desember 2024. ART ini akan berputar melewati Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan, Sumbu Barat, dan Sumbu Timur, dengan waktu tunggu (headway) 5 menit.
Menteri Budi juga menjelaskan bahwa akan ada dua rangkaian ART yang akan dioperasikan di IKN. Sementara itu, ada satu rangkaian lagi yang akan menjadi cadangan. Tiap rangkaiannya memiliki tiga gerbong, dengan kapasitas total rangkaian 200 penumpang.
