Prabowo ingin Bangun Bandara Internasional di Bali Utara untuk Pemerataan Pariwisata
SEAToday.com, Denpasar - Presiden Prabowo kembali menegaskan komitmennya untuk membangun Bandara Internasional di Bali Utara guna meningkatkan aksesibilitas pemerataan pertumbuhan pariwisata.
“Saya ingin membangun North Bali International Airport, kita akan bikin Bali mungkin (menjadi) The New Singapore, The New Hong Kong," katanya, Minggu (3/11).
Ia mengatakan bahwa pemerintah harus berani dalam mengambil keputusan dan bekerja keras untuk rakyatnya.
"Seluruh rakyat Indonesia harus menikmati kemakmuran tidak hanya segelintir orang saja," tambahnya.
Seperti yang diketahui, Bali hanya memiliki satu bandara di wilayah Selatan. Akibatnya, terdapat pemusatan pertumbuhan dan pariwisata di Bali Selatan dikarenakan jauhnya jarak tempuh ke Bali Utara. Rencana pembangunan bandara ini sudah ia utarakan sejak sebelum ia menjabat sebagai presiden. Presiden Joko Widodo sebelumnya menekankan kajian pembangunan harus mempetimbangkan aspek lingkungan dan budaya setempat.
