Pemerintah Halmahera Barat Tetap Status Tanggap Darurat Gunung Ibu selama 14 Hari

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pemerintah Kabupaten Halmahera Barat (Halbar), Maluku Utara (Malut) menetapkan status tanggap darurat bencana erupsi Gunung Ibu selama 14 hari.

Status tanggap darurat bencana Gunung Ibu terhitung sejak 15 hingga 28 Januari 2025, usai status Gunung Ibu naik menjadi Awas.

"Tanggap darurat ini diberlakukan setelah terdeteksi peningkatan aktivitas vulkanik Gunung Ibu," kata Pj Sekkab Halbar Julius Marau.

Keputusan ini dituangkan dalam Surat Keputusan (SK) Bupati Halmahera Barat Nomor 33/KPTD/1/2025, menyusul kenaikan status aktivitas Gunung Ibu dari Level III (Siaga) menjadi Level IV (Awas).

Adapun peningkatan status gunung ini didasarkan pada informasi dari Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) melalui Pusat Vulkanologi Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG).

Sementara, sebanyak 120 jiwa dari enam desa yang berada di kawasan rawan bencana telah diungsikan akibat dampak dari erupsi Gunung Ibu.

Sejumlah warga dari Desa Sangaji Nyeku, Tuguis, Togoreba Sungi, Borona, Soa Sangaji, dan Todoku telah dievakuasi ke lokasi aman.

Evakuasi ini dilakukan oleh BNPB bersama TNI dan Polri untuk menghindar potensi bahaya erupsi yang disertai lava pijar.

Lokasi pengungsian berada di Desa Tongute Sungi dan Desa Akesibu, yang dapat menampung hingga 3.000 jiwa. Terdapat lima lokasi pengungsian yang sudah disiapkan termasuk gereja, kantor desa, dan sekolah di Desa Akesibu dan Tongute Sungi.

Gunung Ibu sendiri mengalami peningkatan aktivitas signifikan sejak 1-14 Januari 2025. Pada Kamis (16/1) sore, gunung tersebut erupsi dengan menyemburkan abu vulkanik setinggi 1.500 meter.

Pemerintah terus mengupayakan langkah-langkah mitigasi guna melindungi masyarakat dari dampak erupsi Gunung Ibu.
