SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia dan Jepang baru saja memperkuat kerja sama dalam pengembangan elektrifikasi kendaraan dan bahan bakar ramah lingkungan.
Hal itu guna mewujudkan nol emisi karbon Demikian dikatakan Putu Juli Ardika selaku. Pelaksana tugas Direktur Jenderal Industri Logam, Mesin, Alat Transportasi dan Elektronika (ILMATE) Kementerian Perindustrian.
"Kementerian Perindustrian Republik Indonesia dan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Jepang telah menjadi partner strategis dalam kerja sama yang berkelanjutan dengan tujuan untuk mencapai netralitas karbon di industri otomotif,” katanya seperti dilansir Antara.
Putu mengungkapkan, Indonesia berkomitmen menerapkan pendekatan beberapa strategi untuk mengurangi emisi karbon. Beberapa di antaranya yakni promosi kendaraan elektrifikasi (xEV) termasuk Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), dan Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), serta Fuel-Cell.
Sementara untuk pengembangan biofuel, Kemenperin mendorong penggunaan kendaraan berbahan bakar fleksibel yang adaptif menggunakan bahan bakar nabati.
"Biofuel juga menjadi perhatian yang besar bagi Jepang, dan beberapa perusahaan di Jepang juga mempunyai teknologi ini,” kata Direktur Jenderal Sekretariat Menteri Kebijakan Perdagangan Biro Industri Manufaktur METI Jepang Tanaka Kazushige
Penguatan kerja sama itu sendiri direalisasikan oleh Kementerian Perindustrian RI dan METI Jepang dalam acara diskusi The 5th Automotive Dialogue Indonesia-Japan yang diikuti oleh Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (Gaikindo), Asosiasi Industri Sepeda Motor Indonesia (AISI), Asosiasi Produsen Biofuel Indonesia (Aprobi), Gabungan Industri Alat-Alat Mobil dan Motor (GIAMM), PT Pertamina serta PT Pertamina Patra Niaga di Jakarta, Kamis (27/6).
