SEAToday.com, Doha - Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (KSAD) Jenderal TNI Maruli Simanjuntak menegaskan prajurit TNI AD sudah berkomitmen netral pada Pemilu 2024 dengan tidak ikut berkampanye.
“Kalau kami di tentara, yang sering sudah saya sampaikan, bahwa kami sudah komit untuk netral, tidak ikut dukung mendukung. Karena kami (kalau) berkampanye pun, ndak ikut pemungutan suara soalnya, jadi netral saja sekalian,” kata Maruli saat konferensi pers di Mabesad, Jakarta Pusat seperti dilansir Antara.
Maruli mengatakan, TNI AD sampai saat ini belum menerima pengaduan jelas bukti prajuritnya berpihak ke kandidat tertentu. Ia pun berharap hal tersebut terus terjadi.
“Mudah-mudahan tidak ada,” katanya.
Lebih lanjut, Maruli mengatakan TNI AD akan menindaklanjuti apabila ada pengaduan yang masuk. Bahkan Maruli mengungkapkan bakal memberikan sanksi terhadap prajurit yang tidak netral.
“Semua itu akan kami tindak lanjuti dan itu jelas-jelas ada tindak lanjut. Paling tidak, kalau dia punya jabatan, itu pasti kita segera langsung me-non job, kita pasti panggil langsung,” kata Maruli.
