KPU: No Significant Format Change in 3rd Presidential Debate This Weekend

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia General Election Commission (KPU) member August Mellaz said the format of the 3rd presidential debate will not change much. Mellaz said the only difference was the location where the debate was held.
"In principle, the flow and format of the debate will not change," said Mellaz as reported by Antara.
"The changes will occur because of the venue alone. The location will be different, but as far as possible the layout and so on will not change compared to the second debate at the JCC (Jakarta Convention Center)," he explained.
The third presidential debate for the 2024 election will take place on Friday (7/1/2024) at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. The themes of this debate are defense, security, international relations, globalization, geopolitics and foreign policy.
The KPU itself has held a meeting to prepare for the debate with the success teams of each pair of candidates and the television organizers.
Previously, the first debate took place on 12 December 2023 at the KPU Office, Central Jakarta, followed by the second debate on 22 December 2023 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta.
