Ministry of Transport Predict Eid Homecoming Flow Occurs Today

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The peak of the 2025 Eid homecoming flow is predicted to occur today, Friday (3/28/2025).

"If we look at the number of 8,500 vehicles per hour, it is concluded that this is the peak of the homecoming flow. It is estimated that the total will reach 1.2 million until D2," said Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi as reported by Antara, during the inauguration of the national one-way at the Cikatama 8 KM 71 Toll Gate.

Dudy added that the Indonesian National Police (Polri) also carried out several traffic engineering to reduce congestion during the 2025 Eid homecoming flow.

According to him, there are parameters that will be applied to each engineering. "Yesterday there was also the implementation of contraflow and odd-even based on each parameter," he said.

Furthermore, the national one-way traffic engineering was officially implemented this Friday morning to reduce traffic congestion.

The scheme is implemented starting from KM 70 of the Cikampek Toll Road to KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Road. The release ceremony itself was led by Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Ahmad Dofiri accompanied by West Java Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus and Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi and representatives of Jasa Marga.

In addition, the Police are also implementing a contraflow scheme from KM 47 to KM 70 of the Cikampek Toll Road. Drivers are limited to driving in the contraflow lane at speed.
