US Presidential Election: Kamala Harris Concedes to Donald Trump’s Victory

SEAToday.com, Washington-US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has conceded her loss to Donald Trump in the US presidential election held on November 5, 2024 local time.
In front of her supporters, she expressed her compassion for their sadness. Although she has admitted defeat in this race, Harris tried to remain composed while encouraging her supporters.
“While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign,” Harris said during her speech at Howard University, a special campus for Harris, as she once studied there.
Many of Harris’ supporters were saddened hearing her concession speech. Despite that, Harris encouraged the young not to be sad and despaired, ensuring them that things will turn out fine.
“Don’t ever give up. Don’t ever stop trying to make the world a better place,” she said.
According to the vote count, Trump has won electoral votes, exceeding the minimum 270 votes from the states, successfully collecting votes from key states like Pennsylvania.
After her loss to Trump, Harris immediately contacted Trump, expressing her hope for smooth leadership and power transition. In addition, she also hopes that Trump can serve as a good president for all United States citizens, including the Democratic Party supporters who may have been at odds with Trump’s policies.
With this win, Trump will serve his presidential term for four years from 2025 to 2029.
During his comeback as a president, he promised to tackle the lingering issue of illegal immigrants that has caused many problems in the United States, including the rise in housing prices and the soaring crime rate. In line with that promise, Trump plans to continue the wall construction on the border of the United States with Mexico.
