Palang Merah Indonesia Kirim 500 Tenda untuk Pengungsian Gaza
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) bekerja sama dengan Bulan Sabit Merah Mesir, Bulan Sabit Merah Palestina (PRCS), dan Mitra kemanusiaan Lokal PMI untuk mengirimkan bantuan 500 unit tenda untuk para pengungsi di Gaza, Palestina.
Tenda dengan bobot 40 ton ini diangkut menggunakan tiga truk kontainer yang dapat menampung 4-5 anggota keluarga. PMI juga sedang memproses pengadaan 500 unit tenda lagi sehingga pada akhir Juni diharapkan jumlah tenda untuk pengungsi Palestina mencapai 1.000 unit.
Ketua PMI Jusuf Kalla menyebutkan "Kebutuhan tenda keluarga menjadi sangat prioritas, di samping kebutuhan pangan, air minum, dan pakaian".
Meski situasi di Gaza kian memburuk, Jusuf Kalla menegaskan bantuan kemanusiaan tidak boleh berhenti dan harus tetap berjalan.
