SEAToday.com, Ponorogo - Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy mengatakan bahwa nasi jagung dapat menjadi opsi bahan pokok menu dalam program makan siang gratis yang digagas pasangan presiden-wakil presiden terpilih Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Karena memang semestinya program makan siang gratis ini harus memberikan pendidikan generasi tentang diversifikasi pangan," kata Muhadjir di Desa Prayungan, Kecamatan Sawoo, Ponorogo, Jawa Timur, Sabtu, 3 Agustus 2024, dilansir Antara.

Ia menyebut, karbohidrat tidak hanya ditemukan di beras, namun banyak sumber makanan yang memiliki karbohidrat dan tidak kalah dengan beras.

"Sebaiknya makan gratis ini harus memberikan pendidikan generasi tentang diversifikasi pangan," katanya.

Muhadjir berjanji, ia akan mengajukan konsep makan siang gratis dengan pilihan nasi jagung ini ke presiden terpilih untuk mengupayakan betul sumber daya lokal.

"Sayur dari petani lokal digilir. Juga kebutuhan protein didapatkan dari peternak di sekitar sekolah yang ada," lanjutnya.

"Contohnya, telur harganya Rp25 ribu per kilogram isi 17. Jika dibagi, berarti ketemunya tidak sampai Rp2 ribu per anak. Kemudian beras Rp15 ribu per kilogram. Satu kilogram beras bisa untuk 12 anak," katanya lagi.

"Nanti ditambahi sayur, vitamin, dan lain-lain. Pasti ketemunya tidak akan tinggi," ujar Muhadjir.
