Speedboat Rombongan Cagub Maluku Utara Benny Laos Meledak

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Speedboat yang membawa rombongan pasangan (paslon) calon Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Maluku Utara nomor urut 4 Benny Laos-Sabrin Sehe meledak di Pulau Talibu.

Peristiwa ini terjadi di Pelabuhan regional Bobong, sekitar Pukul 14.05 WIT, Sabtu (12/10/2024).

Speedboat Bela 72 meledak saat berlabuh di Pelabuhan Regional Bobong, Desa Bobong, Kecamatan Taliabu Barat, Kabupaten Pulau Taliabu.

Speedboat ini rencananya akan membawa rombongan untuk berkampanye di Desa Kawalo, Kecamatan Talibu Barat.

Speedboat tersebut berisi 41 penumpang. Mereka diantaranya calon gubernur Maluku Utara Benny Laos bersama istrinya Sherly Tjoanda, mantan bupati Kepulauan Sula Hendrata Thes, Ketua DPD I Partai Demokrat Rahmi Husein, Ketua PPP Maluku Utara Mubin Wahid, dan 6 orang pengawal pribadi, 8 orang ABK, dan 8 orang dari tim media paslon.

Hingga berita ini diturunkan, terdapat sepuluh korban yang telah dievakuasi dari meledaknya speedboat tersebut. Dari sepuluh orang tersebut, lima di antaranya meninggal dunia.

Terkait jumlah pasti korban meninggal dan selamat, masih menunggu konfimasi dari pihak berwenang.

Lima orang yang meninggal dunia dalam insiden ini yaitu:

1. Mufin A Wahid, Ketua PPP Provinsi Maluku Utara

2. Ester Tantri, anggota DPRD Provinsi Maluku Utara dari Partai Demokrat

3. Dani Buamonabot, anggota polisi yang bertugas sebagai pengamanan pribadi calon gubernur Benny Laos

4. Nasrun, PNS Pemkab Kepulauan Sula

5. Mashudin Ode Muisi, anak buah kapal
