Trem Otonom IKN Akan Beroperasi pada 17 Agustus

SEAToday.com, Nusantara - Trem Otonom atau Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) rencananya akan beroperasi bertepatan dengan perayaan HUT ke-79 RI pada 17 Agustus 2024 di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), Kalimantan Timur.
Hal tersebut diungkapkan oleh Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) melalui Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Pelaksanaan Pembangunan Infrastruktur IKN.
"Ya, ART akan operasi. Mungkin diharapkan nanti pada waktu acara 17 Agustus 2024 bisa digunakan dan hal ini masih dibicarakan, kemungkinan untuk drop off atau sebagian tamu menuju lapangan upacara," ujar Ketua Satgas Pelaksanaan Pembangunan Infrastruktur IKN Danis H. Sumadilaga di Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur, Jumat (9/8/2024).
Ia mengatakan terkait uji coba ART di IKN, Kementerian PUPR menyediakan jalannya dan uji coba ART disiapkan oleh Kementerian Perhubungan.
Sementara itu, panjang jalur ART yang akan dicoba yaitu 6,5 km.
Direktur Jenderal (Dirjen) Perkeretaapian Kementerian Perhubungan M Risal Wasal memastikan bahwa kereta otonom tanpa rel siap beroperasi di IKN untuk melayani antar-jemput tamu pada perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun Ke-79 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia.
ART yang beroperasi di IKN merupakan moda transportasi massal berbasis elektrik yang tidak memerlukan rel konvensional.
Kereta ini menggunakan sistem pandu otomatis yang mengikuti marka khusus yang telah terpasang di jalan.
Pada perayaan HUT Ke-79 RI, ART dua rangkaian dengan jumlah tiga gerbong per set melayani rute tertentu di kawasan KIPP untuk mengangkut para tamu undangan.
Kapasitas maksimal satu rangkaian ART adalah 300 penumpang, tetapi jumlah gerbong dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan.
