UI Tegaskan Komitmen Kembangkan Alat Kesehatan Terjangkau untuk Masyarakat

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Wakil Rektor Bidang SDM dan Aset Universitas Indonesia(UI) Dedi Priadi mengungkapkan pihak UI menegaskan komitmen pihak kampus untuk berkotribusi dalam kesehatan masyarakat.
Hal itu antara lain dilakukan lewat pengembangan berbagai macam obat-obatan dan pangan.
"Penelitian sel puncak dilakukan karena bermanfaat bagi pengobatan penyakit degeneratif. Selain itu, UI berkontribusi dalam pembuatan vaksin, pengembangan obat herbal fitofarmaka, serta produksi bahan pangan bernutrisi," kata Dedi Priadi seperti dilansir Antara.
Menurut dia, inovasi di bidang kesehatan oleh para akademisi tak terlepas dari peran mitra di industri. Dedi menjelaskan, sinergi antara kedua belah pihak sangat dibutuhkanuntuk menciptakan solusi kesehatan yang bermanfaat.
"Sinergi antara akademisi dan industri ini merupakan kunci keberhasilan dalam menghadirkan solusi kesehatan yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat luas," katanya.
UI sendiri baru saja menandatangani Nota Kesepakatan Bersama (NKB) dan Perjanjian Kerja sama (PKS) dengan beragam mitra baik dari universitas, pemerintah dan industri.
Penandatanganan PKS dilakukan antara UI melalui Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat (FKM) dengan UIN Sumatera Utara di Medan dan Universitas Medika Suherman.
Sementara itu, penandatanganan NKB dilaksanakan antara UI dengan 14 mitra, yakni UIN Sumatera Utara, Universitas Pattimura, Universitas Pakuan Bogor, Universitas Medika Suherman, Pemerintah Provinsi Riau, Pemerintah Kabupaten Natuna.
Kemudian Pemerintah Kabupaten Kutai Barat, Pemerintah Kabupaten Pulau Morotai, Pemerintah Kabupaten Buol, Pemerintah Kota Bitung, Pemkab Raja Ampat, Yayasan Eka Tjipta, Yayasan Daesang Peduli Indonesia, dan Yayasan Bhakti Tanoto.
