SEAToday.com, Mimika - Satuan Tugas Operasi Damai Cartenz-2024 bersama dengan Satgas Amole 2024 dan Satgas Nanggala melumpuhkan dua anggota KKB wilayah Mimika, salah satunya bernama Abubakar Kogoya, Kamis (4/4), sekitar pukul 15.00 WIT.

Peristiwa tersebut dipicu karena adanya bunyi letusan senjata di Area Mile 69 Kali Kuluk Tembagapura yang menyebabkan masyarakat setempat ketakutan dan berlari ke arah Utikini.

Kasatgas Humas Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 AKBP Bayu Suseno menyebutkan, tim juga telah mengamankan barang bukti berupa senjata api laras pendek jenis Sig Sauer, sebuah magasin, dan amunisi.

Ia menambahkan jika tindakan penegakan hukum terhadap KKB merupakan respons cepat dari Satgas Damai Cartenz-2024 dalam menjaga keamanan di wilayah Papua.
