Satgas Damai Cartenz Berhasil Melumpuhkan 2 Anggota KKB Wilayah Mimika
SEAToday.com, Jayapura-Satuan Tugas Operasi Damai Cartenz-2024 bersama Satgas Amole 2024 dan Satgas Nanggala berhasil menembak mati 2 anggota KKB wilayah Mimika yang diduga Abubakar Kogoya atau (ABK), dan Demianus Magay (DM) pada kamis (4/4/2024) sekitar pukul 15.00 WIT.
“Kedua Anggota KKB aktif itu dinyatakan meninggal dunia usai dilakukan penegakan hukum oleh satgas Ops Damai Cartenz di sekitar Kali Kabur, Mile 69 Distrik Tembagapura, Kabupaten Mimika,” ucap Ka Ops Damai Cartenz-2024, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno.
Menurut keterangan tertulis yang diterima redaksi SEAToday.com, selain menembak mati kedua anggota KKB, tim juga berhasil mengamankan barang bukti berupa senjata api laras pendek jenis sig sauer beserta 1 magasen dan amunisinya.
AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, menambahkan, tindakan penegakan hukum terhadap KKB merupakan respons cepat dari Satgas Damai Cartenz-2024 dalam menjaga keamanan di wilayah Papua.
“Penegakan Hukum terhadap KKB ini merupakan respons cepat dari Satgas Damai Cartenz 2024 dalam upaya mengatasi keamanan di wilayah Mimika dan menegaskan komitmen aparat keamanan untuk melindungi masyarakat dari ancaman kelompok kriminal bersenjata,” tutup Kasatgas Humas Operasi Damai Cartenz-2024.
Kedua jenazah dalam proses dievakuasi dari TKP untuk diamankan menuju Timika. Sesampainya di Timika, akan dilakukan proses identifikasi secara rinci.
