MUI: No Pork No Lard Tak Jadi Jaminan Makanan Halal

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Direktur Utama Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan, Obat-obatan dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia (LPPOM MUI) Muti Arintawati mengungkapkan, label “No Pork No Lard” tidak menjadi jaminan produk halal dan memiliki sertifikasi halal, Kamis (3/10). Label yang kerap klaim halal tersebut muncul sebelum diaturnya sertifikasi halal oleh pemerintah melalui Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 39 Tahun 2021 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal. Label ini digunakan pelaku usaha untuk menegaskan bahwa usahanya tidak mengandung babi atau turunannya.

Lebih lanjut, Muti menjelaskan sertifikasi halal tidak hanya berkaitan dengan bahan baku seperti daging dan sejenisnya. Namun, meliputi seluruh proses sejak distribusi, penyimpanan, pengolahan, hingga mencakup alat-alat penunjang produksi. Seluruh proses hingga makanan disajikan kepada konsumen tersebut harus benar-benar halal sesuai syariah Islam.

Ia menegaskan bahwa setelah kewajiban sertifikasi halal yang berlaku pada 17 Oktober mendatang, seluruh restoran wajib memiliki sertifikasi halal, bagi yang belum memiliki sertifikasi halal akan mendapat teguran.
