SEAToday.com, Gaza - Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) mempersiapkan penyaluran dan pengiriman bantuan kemanusiaan ke para pengungsi Palestina di Gaza dan wilayah perbatasan El Arish, Mesir.

Sekretaris Jenderal PMI Abdurrahman Mohammad Fachir pada Kamis (8/2) menyebutkan bahwa 32,5 ton bantuan tersebut mencakup selimut, beras, gandum, gula, garam, dan minyak goreng. Selain itu ada juga pakaian bayi dan anak-anak serta obat-obatan.

Abdurrahman menyebutkan bahwa PMI bekerja sama dengan Egyptian Red Crescent dan KBRI Mesir untuk pengelolaan bantuan ini. Bantuan ini akan dikirim menggunakan dua truk dalam lima jam perjalanan dari Kairo ke El Arish. El Arish saat ini menjadi pusat dapur umum oleh Egyptian Red Crescent. Makanan hasil olahannya nanti akan didistribusikan ke wilayah Gaza.
