Vietnam Holds Trilateral Meeting, Strengthens Solidarity with Cambodia and Laos

SEAToday.com, Ho Chi Minh City - General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, hosted a high-level meeting with Cambodian People's Party President and Senate President Hun Sen, along with Lao People’s Revolutionary Party General Secretary and Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, in Ho Chi Minh City on February 22.

The meeting provided a key platform for the three leaders to discuss global and regional developments, exchange updates on their respective nations and parties, review past cooperation achievements, and outline future collaboration strategies.

Highlighting the deep interconnection between their countries' stability, security, and development, the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to prioritizing and strengthening their traditional friendship. They also expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of trilateral cooperation.

Emphasizing the importance of political trust and high-level engagement, the leaders pledged to preserve and reinforce their long-standing solidarity, describing it as an invaluable asset vital to maintaining peace, security, and development in the region.

Furthermore, they underscored the need to raise awareness among younger generations about the enduring partnership among Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. The leaders also committed to enhancing defense and security cooperation to address both traditional and emerging threats.

In addition, they agreed to strengthen information-sharing, consultations, and coordination efforts to safeguard national interests and tackle shared challenges.

The meeting reaffirmed the three nations’ dedication to deepening their strategic ties, ensuring stability, and fostering sustainable development in Southeast Asia.
