Minister of Religious Affairs Arrives in Saudi Arabia to Discuss 2025 Hajj Preparations
SEAToday.com, Jeddah - Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar landed at King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Saturday (11/24) at 17:40 local time. The Minister of Religion traveled to Saudi Arabia to discuss the 2025 Hajj operation.
The arrival of Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin who was also accompanied by Head of BPH Irfan Yusuf at the VIP of Jeddah Airport was welcomed by Indonesian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz and Indonesian Consul General in Jeddah Yusron Ambari.
When leaving Jakarta, the Minister explained a number of agendas while in the Saudi Arabia. The Minister will fulfill the invitation of Minister of Hajj Tawfiq F Al Rabiah to discuss preparations for organizing the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
“Many things will be discussed. In Saudi, there will be changes (in the implementation of Hajj) that are different from previous years and this needs to be known earlier, it will be discussed later,” the Minister explained, quoted from the Ministry of Religious Affairs' website.
There are a number of agendas that the Minister of Religious Affairs will carry out while in Saudi Arabia, including holding a meeting at the Consulate General's Hajj Affairs Office (KUH) in Jeddah on Sunday, November 24, 2024. After that, the Minister of Religious Affairs will review the renovation of the building that will be the new place for the ranks of the KUH.
The building is located in Mushrefah area, Jeddah. The renovation process is almost complete and is planned to be occupied from the end of December 2024.
Minister Nasaruddin's meeting with Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq F Al Rabiah will take place on Sunday (11/24) night in Makkah. Also scheduled to join the meeting are Head of BPH Mochammad Irfan Yusuf, Director General of PHU Hilman Latief, Indonesian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abdul Azis and Consul of Hajj at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah Nasrullah Jasam.
On Monday (11/25) the Minister is scheduled to visit Madinah Al-Munawwarah to see the initial preparations for providing services for pilgrims. The Minister is scheduled to return to the country on Tuesday (11/26).
