SEAToday.com, JakartaUti Nilam Sari, seorang lulusan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, menjadi medical illustrator pertama di Indonesia. Wanita yang kerap disapa Uti ini mendapat gelar tersebut usai menempuh pendidikan di program Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy yang merupakan kolaborasi antara University of Glasgow dan The Glasgow School of Art.

Uniknya, Uti sebenarnya memiliki memiliki minat dan keahlian pada desain dan ilustrasi, namun orang tuanya menginginkan Uti menjadi mahasiswa kedokteran. Alhasil, Uti berhasil mengawinkan dua kemampuan tersebut hingga ia menjadi medical illustrator pertama di Indonesia.

Kini, penerima beasiswa Lembaga Pengelolaan Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) tersebut membangun bisnisnya yang dinamakan “Medimedi” (Medical Media) yang menyediakan berbagai layanan yang berkaitan dengan ilustrasi medis, seperti layanan Medical e-Learning, pembuatan ilustrasi hingga aplikasi yang berkaitan kesehatan & kedokteran, hingga Healthcare AR & VR developer.
