Bogor Police to Implement Car-Free Night in Puncak to Ease New Year's Traffic
SEAToday.com, Bogor - The Puncak tourist route in Bogor Regency, West Java, will once again implement a Car-Free Night for New Year's Eve.
"There will be traffic engineering, one of which is a Car-Free Night, which will be implemented at 6 PM, where the Ciawi Toll Gate towards Puncak will be diverted through Ciawi," explained the Bogor Police Traffic Unit Head Adjunt Commisioner Rizky Guntama Ganda Permana.
However, unlike this year, the Car-Free Night this year will be implemented until 2.30 AM, followed by a one-way traffic system from Puncak towards Jakarta.
During the Car-Free Night, vehicles will not be allowed to enter the Puncak route from the Puncak Toll exit starting at 6 PM.
However, vehicles are still allowed to pass from other routes, including the Ciawi Toll exit. The Ciawi Toll Gate towards Puncak will be closed and diverted towards Ciawi.
Then, the Puncak tourist route will be cleared of vehicles from 10 PM to 2.30 AM. Officers will set up vehicle blockades at every intersection leading to the Puncak route.
In addition to the Car-Free Night, the Bogor Police will also implement an Odd-Even system and a One-Way system during the year-end holidays on the Puncak tourist route.
"We urge tourists to cooperate in maintaining smooth traffic and anticipate their holidays so as not to be affected by the Odd-Even system," said Rizky.
