Pertamina, Indonesian Navy Conduct Emergency Drill to Strengthen Security

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pertamina strengthens the security of its energy infrastructure by cooperating with Navy's Counter-Terrorism Special Operations Force, the Jalamangkara Detachment (Denjaka). The simulation exercise to free the hijacked MT Sanga-Sanga was conducted in Balikpapan waters, East Kalimantan on Thursday (11/23).
Lelin Aprianto SVP HSSE PT Pertamina (Persero), explained that Balikpapan was chosen as the location for the exercise becausePertamina has comprehensive business entities from the Holding level to the complete Sub Holding level in this city.
"Balikpapan is one of the locations where Pertamina Group has complete assets and sub-holdings so that the involvement of almost all parties together with the Navy can be maximized in this exercise," said Lelin.
