SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The chairman of Indonesia's General Election Commission, Hasyim Asy'ari, has urged voters going to the polling stations (TPS) on Wednesday (2/14) to open their ballot papers before entering the voting booth. This is to ensure that the ballots received at the polling stations are in good condition, undamaged and not pre-printed. Thus, if voters receive ballots in a condition that is considered damaged, they can immediately replace them with new ballots.

In addition, voters who felt they made a mistake in voting will also have the opportunity to exchange their ballots. The number of ballots allocated to each polling station is equal to the list of voters registered at the polling station plus two percent of the reserve ballots from the number of registered voters.

Considering the limited number, Hasyim asked voters to use the opportunity wisely before entering the polling station.
