SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The government will move as many as 3,246 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to the Indonesia’s New Capital City (IKN) Nusantara in the first phase. The transfer will be carried out in stages and will begin in July–November 2024.

Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas said on Saturday (12/16) that the ASNs who moved came from 37 ministries or institutions, and 1,740 houses have been prepared by the government.
Minister Anas said that the transfer of ASN to IKN is not only a physical relocation but also a transformation in work culture and public services.

The relocation process involves various efforts, such as transforming ways of working or simplifying business processes, implementing digital government, structuring ASN management, and strengthening inter-institutional coordination, especially the involvement of local government ASNs as IKN buffers.
